So I was let go from Mac Haydn Theater in Upstate NY. My lack of speed in a two week turnaround and my fight with the designer after he called my cut on the table saw stupid and myself an idiot as well as the sh*t he said behind my back which got back to me and blowing smoke in my face and his drinking on the job. But yes, after working unsuccessfully in a scene shop it is back to what I am good at, small scale construction and Prop mastery for a few companies a little more my style. I have nothing bad to say about the theater or the awesome people I got to hang out with, especially the actors, but the designer has no civility and while his plans are impeccable and clean, he has no ability to work well with lighting and his color choices are mixed and gauche.
I am off to find a job until the the end of June where I will be stage managing and on set construction for Terrorwerks.
